Case Layouts
AdminSphere uses cases for five kinds of work, each with its own record type and page layout. Until you assign them, every case shows the standard Case Layout, without the fields that kind of work needs.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- You need the System Administrator profile.
- Know which profiles to change. Assign the layouts to every profile whose users hold an AdminSphere permission set (typically your Standard User profile and any custom profiles your team uses). Profiles of users who never use AdminSphere can keep their current layout.
- Case layouts are assigned per profile and per record type.
Which layout goes with which record type
Section titled “Which layout goes with which record type”| Record type | Layout |
|---|---|
| Client Complaint | Client Complaint Layout |
| Compliance Incident | Compliance Incident Layout |
| HIT | HIT Layout |
| Internal Review | Internal Review Layout |
| Regulatory Inquiry | Regulatory Inquiry Layout |
-
Go to Setup → Object Manager → Case → Case Page Layouts.
-
Click Page Layout Assignment, then Edit Assignment. The table has one column per record type and one row per profile.
-
In the Client Complaint column, select the cells for those profiles. Click one cell, then Shift-click another to select the cells between them.
-
In Page Layout To Use, choose Client Complaint Layout. The selected cells change, in italics.

-
Repeat steps 3 and 4 for Compliance Incident and HIT, each with its own layout.
-
The table shows four record types at a time. Click Next> to see Internal Review and Regulatory Inquiry, and repeat steps 3 and 4 for both. Changes you made on the first columns are kept; the counter at the top shows how many cells changed in all.
-
Click Save.
How to check it worked
Section titled “How to check it worked”- The Page Layout Assignment table shows each record type’s layout in the rows you changed.
- Open a case of one of these record types, for example a HIT case, as a user with one of those profiles. Its details include AdminSphere fields such as Legal Entity, Screening and Case Stage.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- A column still shows Case Layout after saving. It was probably on the other page of columns. Click Edit Assignment, use Next> or <Prev to find it, and set it.
- The table saved before you finished. Click Edit Assignment and carry on with the remaining columns. What you already saved is kept.
